Welcome to your 20s

Living free and fun

But you don’t know a single thing

You’re too damn young

Opinions on the table

Supported well and strong

But they don’t hold their weight with us

You’re too damn young

Burden weight is building

On your shoulders hung

But your pain cannot be real

You’re too damn young

Emotions hard to handle

Your battles rarely won

But hard for you is not true hard

You’re too damn young

Knowledge gaining dailly

You know you’re far from done

What you’ve gained is meaningless

You’re too damn young

Mistakes are always imminent

Honest when you’re wrong

Our forgiveness out of sympathy

You’re too damn young

Our mess-ups you are missing

Success in veering from

We still wish them upon you cause

You’re too damn young

We’ve all had our downfalls

From that you’ve no freedom

There’s no way of evading it

You’re too damn young

The taller your successes

You’ll further fall undone

You do not know true failure yet

You’re too damn young

How can I take an action

Thought or emotion

When all of those around me say

I’m too damn young

Meaningness or value

Of myself has dropped to none

With all of your discredit since

I’m too damn young

Fairness out the window

Trust is all but gone

Doubt for that I can’t control

I’m too damn young

You’re the master of mistakes

With the suffering you’ve done

All it’s left you with is right to say

“You’re too damn young”
