Blue Skies and Black Flies is the Apollos’ version of “Cheers and Jeers”, heard of it? We take a moment to cheer the things that make this campus great, and a moment to jeer the less-than-stellar. We love the A.P. Bakery in Cantwell! The food is delicious, well made, and most of all well priced. The workers are always super friendly, and they should be allowed to have a tip jar. The bakery is a great alternative to The Hutch. A big thank you to everyone who makes the bakery possible.
Black Flies…
The blatant over-saturation of Autumn pictures. Just stop it, people. My eyes are begging you. I’m tired of scrolling through Instagram and seeing forests that look like they might glow in the dark. And let’s be honest: we all know it didn’t look like that. So before you pull that saturation slider all the way to the right, just ask yourself: who am I fooling?
Black Flies…
People who litter on campus. This is a beautiful place to live, and it’s a shame that there are those who don’t care to keep our campus clean. I often see piles of litter in many of the parking lots as I walk from class to class. There are enough garbage cans everywhere on campus that this shouldn’t be an issue.

Canvas is getting a big Blue Sky review, it is so much easier than Moodle in every way. It’s easy to navigate, easier to read and understand, and it doesn’t look like it was designed by crackhead in the mid-90’s.
