Did you know that there are studio art elective classes available for Paul Smith’s students? On view here is a selection of art produced this fall semester, in Studio Art: Drawing from Nature. The class is open to students of all levels, whether you’ve been taking courses in art throughout high school or college – or whether this is your first since junior high school.

I am Adjunct Instructor for this class, and I am so impressed with the creativity and talent of this class! At the beginning of the semester, I asked my students to fill out a questionnaire listing their previous art classes, and their goals for this one. Many students listed goals similar to “I would like to be able to draw more than a stick figure.” Well, as you can see here, they have accomplished that, and more!

Studio Art: Drawing from Nature is a three-hour class and meets on Wednesdays 12:20-3:20 in the ArtLab/Freer 210
