A media event was held on January 9, 2025 at the Phil Saunders Sports Complex of the campus of Paul Smith’s College. Seven student-athletes (two are competing in Alaska) from Paul Smith’s College are headed to Torino, Italy for the FISU World University Games, headed by Coach Matt Dougherty. Although they have been selected for the US FISU team, Aidan Ripp, Nordic, Cloquet, MN. and Dolcie Tanguay, Biathlon, Fort Kent, ME will not be in attendance. They are competing at the national championships in Anchorage, AK. Thereafter, they will travel to Italy.
