Paul Smith’s College students named Academic All-Americans

Fifty Paul Smith’s College athletes have been named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association’s All-Academic Team for their success in the classroom this fall.

Students receiving All-Academic honors this fall represent a handful of sports – the golf, soccer, rugby, cross country, marathon canoe, bass fishing woodsmen’s and sports climbing teams all placed athletes on the list.

“Congratulations to each of these student athletes and their coaches,” said Athletic Director Jim Tucker. “At the same time, thank you to the faculty and staff, who support the athletic endeavors of these students. This is a collaborative process for all involved.”

Four of the students honored participated in two different fall sports, cross country and marathon canoe.

To be nominated, a student athlete must be in good standing on the team, have completed at least 24 credit hours and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater.
