    Adirondack Field Ecology: Be immersed in nature and science. Study the ecology of fish, mammals, birds, invertebrates, and plants as a naturalist. Practice techniques like electrofishing, live-trapping, and radio-tracking. Explore unique land and aquatic ecosystems. Use paleoecology to learn about historical ecological patterns. Sample for water quality and genetics. Take a researcher’s approach to Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

  • This summer college bridge program confers college academic credit in outdoor recreation leadership, basic natural history, Leave No Trace, wellness, and Adirondack Forest Preserve use and stewardship. Confers Wilderness First Aid. Offered in partnership with NOLS Northeast.
