- On-campus: Wilderness First Aid, map interpretation, compass use, ration planning, equipment use, pack packing, risk management.
- Backcountry Expedition: Leadership, route finding, map interpretation, conflict management, decision making, cooking, human waste disposal, food protection, campsite selection, time control planning, hiking skills, canoeing skills.
