To enhance the safety and security of the people, vehicles, and property on campus, Paul Smith’s College has established the Parking and Vehicle Policy. This policy is in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Anyone who parks and operates a vehicle on campus must abide by this policy. VEHICLE REGISTRATION

Students and Employees must register their vehicle with Campus Safety within 24 hours of bringing a vehicle to campus.  Once registered, they will be issued a parking permit.

Vehicles do not need to be re-registered unless something has changed, such as a student moving off campus, an off campus student moving on campus, a license plate change, or a vehicle change.

Student permits must be applied to inside rear window on the lower driver’s (left) side.  All permits must be placed in this location, regardless of the tint of the rear window.

Employees will be issued a mirror hang tag to be displayed on the rear view mirror of the vehicle while parked on campus.

You can register by clicking the link.

After registering, pick up your vehicle permit at the Campus Safety Office.

This permit is to be applied to the rear window on the lower driver’s (left) side. All permits must be placed in this location, regardless of the tint of the rear window.

PARKING LOT ASSIGNMENTS AND PARKING MAP

Parking lots on campus are divided into the following categories: student (on campus residents) parking, commuter (students) parking, employee parking, visitor parking, and open parking.

Anyone who is not parked in their assigned lot will be issued a ticket for parking in wrong lot, which carries a $20 fine.

See the Parking-Map for parking lot assignments.

Visitor parking in lot 17 is reserved for visitors only. Anyone parked in the 15 minute parking spaces for longer than 15 minutes will be issued a ticket.

Relay for Life, Handicap, and Low Emission Fuel Efficient parking spaces are reserved for those who have been issued the appropriate permits.

Vehicles parked in fire lanes or blocking traffic are subject to being towed at the owner’s expense.

If you are not sure where you are permitted to park, contact Campus Safety for assistance.
