Paul Smith’s College is hosting the Third Annual Paul Smiths Jenkins Mountain Scramble on Saturday, May 25th. This trail run will take place on the network of wooded trails at the Paul Smith’s College VIC.
All proceeds from the race will be used to support the VIC, a vital community resource for environmental education, recreation and the arts.
There are two runs: A 13.1-mile strenuous half-marathon with 2,364 feet of elevation gain that includes a climb to the summit of Jenkins Mountain, and a shorter run of about 6 miles that does not include the Jenkins Mountain climb.
Both races are wilderness trail runs--there will be no support during the race, and all participants are on their own from start to finish. Runners need to carry their own water, food and other supplies.
